Live2.ai's ₹130 Crore Round Includes a Secondary of Undisclosed Size, and Two Outlets Name Different Customers
IvyCap led the pre-Series B for the Bengaluru social-listening company; no valuation was given and revenue growth of fourfold has no base.

Live2.ai, a Bengaluru social-listening company, announced a ₹130 crore pre-Series B round on October 27, led by IvyCap Ventures. Part of the round is a secondary sale to give early investors partial liquidity, and the company has not said how large that part is.
Inc42 puts the round at about $13.7 million, and CIOL says about $14 million. Neither gives a valuation, so the figure that will travel is also the one that says least about price.
How much of the ₹130 crore is new money
Both outlets say the round combines fresh capital with a secondary component and that the split is undisclosed. Whatever the split, the amount going into the company is below ₹130 crore, and the amount funding hiring and infrastructure is unknown. Inc42 lists the uses as the AI platform, enterprise and global consumer-brand sales, regional cloud infrastructure, and hiring in engineering, data science and customer success across North America, Europe, Singapore and India.
A secondary inside a pre-Series B means the lead bought some existing shares in the same transaction. The price it paid per share is the number that would show how the round was valued, and it has not been published.
Two reports, two customer lists
The two outlets agree on the lead, the round type, the secondary and the founders: J Venkat as chief executive and Neha Suyal, whom CIOL titles co-founder and chief operating officer, with Yash Arora. They differ in what they list around those facts.
| Item | Inc42 | CIOL |
|---|---|---|
| Dollar figure | About $13.7 million | About $14 million |
| Other investors | Sony Innovation Fund, SOSV, Duane Park (board backers) | None named |
| Customers named | Bonkers Corner, Drools, Enamor, Henkel, Bliscent | Henkel's Schwarzkopf, Shiseido, Titan Brands, Salonory |
| Brand count | Not given | More than 200 |
| Revenue | Fourfold in 12 months, 10% from India | Fourfold in 12 months, about 90% international |

Only Henkel appears in both lists, and the two cannot both be exhaustive. The revenue statements are consistent with each other, 10% domestic and about 90% overseas, but neither outlet gives a rupee or dollar base for the fourfold growth. Growth of 400% off an unstated base cannot be turned into a multiple.
What the product is
Live2.ai monitors brand conversations on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Reddit, X and review sites. Inc42 describes eight AI agents covering crisis detection, trend spotting, campaign auditing and automated replies, with governance controls and human review. Its chief executive told Inc42 that "Brands today are drowning in signals and starved of action."
IvyCap's Vikram Gupta, Founder and Managing Partner, told CIOL that social has become a key channel for how consumers discover, evaluate and buy. Neither quote contains a retention figure or a gross margin, the two numbers that would justify the multiple.
The comparable in this week's India coverage
Simplismart raised $14 million in a round our earlier coverage put at about $100 million post-money. Live2.ai's round is the same dollar size and carries no valuation. Another Indian round with a foreign-facing product, Mochatrade's $5.5 million seed led by CoinFund, also came with a named lead. The first thing to watch for Live2.ai is a Registrar of Companies filing for the allotment, which would show the price per share and the share count for the primary portion.
