Simplismart Raises $14 Million at About $100 Million Post-Money, With Nvidia, Its Own Competitor, on the Cap Table
The Bengaluru inference startup says run-rate revenue grew 14-fold in six months, but gives no base, and the figure is usage-based rather than contracted.

Simplismart, a Bengaluru startup that tunes how AI models run on GPUs, has raised $14 million in a Series B led by Dallas Venture Capital at a valuation of about $100 million including the new money, TechCrunch reported on Oct. 27. That prices the buyers of this round at roughly 14 percent of the company, and it does not say what the company earns.
The round is closed, not announced as a first tranche. Chief executive Amritanshu Jain told TechCrunch the Series B will not be extended.
Who is in the round
Nvidia, Accel, Shastra VC and Micromax joined Dallas Venture Capital, according to both TechCrunch and Entrackr, which calls the valuation post-money. Entrackr puts the previous round at a $7 million Series A in October 2024, so the two disclosed rounds add up to $21 million. Neither outlet states a total raised.
| Round | Date | Amount | Valuation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Series A | October 2024 | $7 million | Not stated |
| Series B | October 2026 | $14 million | About $100 million, post-money |
Nvidia is an investor in a company that, by TechCrunch's account, competes with Nvidia, AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure for inference work. Jain said Simplismart tends to win where customers have strict service-level and total-cost requirements. Nvidia also supplies technical integrations, including with its Dynamo inference software, and introductions to potential customers.

The 14-fold figure has no base
Simplismart says its annualised run rate grew 14 times over the past six months. TechCrunch adds that the current figure is an eight-figure sum, which means at least $10 million, and that it is calculated from recent customer usage rather than contracted recurring revenue. It also excludes pass-through revenue to infrastructure providers.
On those terms the $100 million valuation is at most 10 times the run rate and could be far lower. The range is wide because the company has not given the number. More than half of revenue comes from the United States, although Simplismart has more customers in India, TechCrunch reported.
One ET report, cited by TechCrunch, said the company was in talks to raise $40 million to $50 million at a $300 million to $400 million valuation. Jain declined to comment on that report and said the company is not actively raising. The $14 million round is a fraction of that figure. For comparison, Eka Robotics sold about 10 percent of itself in its round; here the new investors hold about 14 percent.
Customers and the cost claim
TechCrunch lists InVideo, HeyGen, Higgsfield and Ema as customers or partners. Entrackr adds Shiprocket and Apna, and says the cloud provider Yotta uses Simplismart for the serverless inference layer of its Shakti Studio.
The one outcome figure comes from the company: InVideo cut its GPU serving costs by 56 percent. That is supplied by Simplismart and no independent party is named as having measured it. The company has 58 employees.
What the money is for
Simplismart said it will expand in the United States, hire, and keep building its inference software. Entrackr adds a larger network of cloud providers running its engine, a market where Daytona also sells compute to AI agents.
No filing is cited in either report. A filing with the Registrar of Companies would show the price per share and the allotment date, and would settle whether the closing matched the announcement.
