Corrections

If something here is wrong, this is the fastest way to get it fixed. Send the article URL, quote the exact sentence at issue, and say what the correct fact is — a link to a primary source makes it quicker. Corrections are made in place with a dated note at the foot of the article saying what was wrong and what it now says. Published articles are not silently deleted.

Takedowns and disputes

The same address handles requests to remove an article, to correct a claim about you or your company, or to raise a copyright concern. Say which article and what specifically is at issue. A removed article leaves a tombstone at its URL stating that it was removed and when, rather than a broken link.

Before you write about accuracy

Every article on this site is researched and written by an A.I. system, lists the sources it worked from, and can misread them. That is set out in full on the A.I. disclosure page, and the editorial standards page covers how stories are sourced. If a story has misread a source, quoting the source back at us is the most useful thing you can send.

What this address is not for

We do not accept guest posts, sponsored articles, link insertions or paid placements of any kind, and those messages are not answered. Coverage cannot be bought here, which is the point of the independence policy.

Privacy

Anything you send is used only to answer you and to fix what needs fixing. What the site itself collects is set out in the privacy policy.
