Arduino's VENTUNO Q Opens Preorders at €298.99

Arduino's store began taking preorders for the VENTUNO Q board this week, priced at €298.99 with delivery estimated at four weeks, according to the product listing on store.arduino.cc. The board, first detailed in a March 9 Arduino blog post, pairs a Qualcomm Dragonwing IQ8 Series processor rated at up to 40 dense TOPS of AI performance with a dedicated STM32H5 microcontroller for real-time motor and actuator control, 16 GB of LPDDR5 memory and 64 GB of eMMC storage.

The Robot Report, covering the preorder opening on Sept. 23, quoted Marcello Majonchi, chief product officer of Arduino at Qualcomm, describing the board as "the first intentional step for a product that is meant to be used as a single point of control of a modern robotics platform." His title reflects a change that took effect a year ago: Qualcomm announced its acquisition of Arduino on Oct. 7, 2025, and that release, like Wednesday's board specifications, states no purchase price for the deal itself.

What the board actually includes

Beyond its two processors, the VENTUNO Q carries WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, native CAN-FD for industrial motor buses, high-speed GPIO, connectors for multiple MIPI-CSI cameras and 2.5-gigabit Ethernet, according to Arduino's own blog post. The main Dragonwing processor runs Linux, either Ubuntu or Debian, while the STM32H5 runs the Arduino core on Zephyr OS, and the board is built to work with existing Arduino UNO shields, Modulino sensor nodes and Qwiic-compatible peripherals rather than requiring an entirely new accessory ecosystem.

A sevenfold jump from Arduino's first Qualcomm board

The VENTUNO Q is not the first product of the Qualcomm acquisition. That was the Arduino UNO Q, announced alongside the deal itself and shipped starting Oct. 25, 2025, with 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of eMMC storage and a starting price of €39. The VENTUNO Q's €298.99 preorder price is more than seven times that figure, for a board with eight times the RAM and four times the storage, aimed squarely at production robotics work rather than the hobbyist prototyping the UNO Q targeted.

The production path Qualcomm is building around it

The Robot Report's coverage also ties the board to Qualcomm's broader robotics buildout: a "Works with Arduino" program that lets developers move from a VENTUNO Q prototype to production hardware through partners SECO and Toradex, and Qualcomm's acquisition of PickNik Robotics, the steward of the MoveIt motion-planning framework, which Qualcomm kept open source after buying the company. Between the UNO Q, the VENTUNO Q, PickNik and the SECO and Toradex partnerships, Qualcomm has assembled a stack that runs from a €39 hobbyist board to production-line hardware suppliers inside eleven months, without disclosing what any of the acquisitions cost.

What neither Arduino nor Qualcomm has said is a firm ship date beyond the store's "available for delivery in 4 weeks" estimate, or unit pricing for the volume orders the "Works with Arduino" program is aimed at. Robotics teams evaluating the board today are ordering against that four-week estimate, not a confirmed shipping date, the same gap that runs through most of the humanoid-robotics order books this site has covered this month.
