Swish Raises $24 Million to Extend Its India Food-Delivery Round
Bertelsmann India Investments led the round less than six months after Swish's $38 million Series B, and Inc42 put the startup's total funding at $78 million.

Swish, a Bengaluru-based quick-commerce food delivery startup, raised $24 million in a round led by Bertelsmann India Investments, Inc42 reported on Sept. 10. Existing backers Accel, Bain Capital Ventures and Hara Global also put money into the round, according to Inc42, and a regional funding roundup from Techloy listed the raise as an extension of Swish's Series B.
Inc42 said the new money brings Swish's total external funding to $78 million, without specifying whether that figure includes the venture debt the company took on alongside its equity. Neither Swish nor Bertelsmann India disclosed a valuation for the round or said how it compares to the price set in March.
The math since March's $38 million round
Swish raised a $38 million Series B in March 2026, led by Hara Global and Bain Capital Ventures with Accel participating, and separately took on venture debt from Alteria Capital and Stride Ventures, according to Inc42. Coming back for $24 million less than six months later, without a new valuation attached in either company's public statement, is the kind of round Inc42 filed as an extension rather than a fresh Series C.
Bertelsmann India Investments managing director Pankaj Makkar said in a company blog post that the deal is "once again a category-defining investment" for the firm, without naming the earlier investment he was referring back to.
How Swish gets food to a customer in 10 minutes
Founded in 2024 by chief executive Aniket Shah, Ujjwal Sukheja and Saran S, Swish blends a cloud-kitchen model with quick-commerce delivery, cooking from its own kitchens rather than routing orders to third-party restaurants. Shah said the company aims to "make quick food delivery available to 100 Mn consumers," according to Inc42.
The company's monthly order volume has tripled since March 2026 and now tops 1 million orders a month, per its own blog post, with more than 80 percent of orders delivered in under 15 minutes and average kitchen preparation time under four minutes. Swish runs a menu of more than 250 items across more than 20 food categories, and operates in Bengaluru, Gurugram, Noida, Delhi and Ghaziabad, covering roughly 50 pincodes.
| Round | Announced | Amount | Lead investor |
|---|---|---|---|
| Series B | March 2026 | $38 million | Hara Global, Bain Capital Ventures |
| Series B extension | Sept. 10, 2026 | $24 million | Bertelsmann India Investments |

The raise lands in a busy stretch for Indian startup funding. The same week, Indian space-tech startup Pixxel closed a $100 million round, and Swish's pace of returning to investors within months echoes Temporal's climb to a $12.55 billion valuation in seven months, though Swish's own valuation, unlike Temporal's, has not been made public at any stage.
What Swish has not said
Swish has not disclosed how much of the $78 million Inc42 counts is equity versus venture debt, and it has not said whether the 1,000-plus-kitchen network it has told Inc42 it wants to build over five years is funded by this round or will require another one. The next test of that plan is whether order volume, which Swish says tripled in six months, keeps climbing once the newest kitchens open outside its five current cities.
