Snabbit Spent ₹16 for Every ₹1 of FY26 Revenue and Earned More on Deposits Than on Jobs
The home-services startup lost ₹167.8 crore on ₹12.2 crore of operating revenue, and its ₹14.1 crore of bank interest was larger than the revenue line.
Snabbit reported ₹12.2 crore of operating revenue for FY26 and total expenses of ₹194.8 crore, so each rupee of revenue cost about ₹16 to produce. The quick-service home-help startup's net loss was ₹167.8 crore, against ₹5.7 crore in FY25, according to Inc42's reading of its financials.
The number most likely to travel is the loss, for a company that raised its latest round in April; our weekly tally of Indian startup funding shows what other rounds look like beside it. The more telling one is smaller: ₹14.1 crore of interest on bank deposits, which is larger than the ₹12.2 crore Snabbit earned from jobs. Total income of ₹27 crore was therefore more than half interest and other income of ₹14.8 crore.
Where the ₹194.8 crore went
Payouts to service professionals were ₹63.1 crore, against ₹27 lakh in FY25. Employee costs were ₹46 crore and marketing ₹48.7 crore, up from ₹82.1 lakh. Fulfilment cost another ₹23.8 crore.
Of the ₹12.2 crore in operating revenue, ₹10.8 crore came from platform services and ₹1.4 crore from selling uniforms to the professionals who do the work. Set against platform revenue alone, professional payouts were 5.8 times what the platform kept.

The FY25 comparison depends on which revenue figure you read
Open magazine, working from filings accessed through Tofler, put FY25 total revenue at ₹110.6 lakh, with a ₹5.7 crore net loss. Inc42 gives FY25 operating revenue as ₹26.3 lakh. The two net-loss figures agree, which suggests Open's revenue line includes other income. That is an inference, not something either outlet says.
What the company says about unit costs
Founder and chief executive Aayush Agarwal, a former Zepto executive, is credited in Inc42's report with company figures showing daily jobs rising from about 500 at the start of FY26 to a 35,000-a-day run rate at the close. Loss per job fell from about ₹1,500 to below ₹200 in September 2026, per the same company figures.
The quarter ending in September is harder to square with that. Inc42 lists Q2 FY27 at 64.5 lakh jobs, net transaction value of ₹73 crore and an EBITDA loss of ₹145 crore, or 199% of that value. Dividing the loss by the jobs gives roughly ₹225 a job for the quarter. A single month can sit below a quarterly average, and the company has not published a monthly figure.
Cash, valuation and what comes next
Cash and bank balances were ₹292.2 crore and mutual fund holdings ₹26.6 crore at the balance sheet date, about ₹319 crore in total, with no borrowings. The $56 million Series D closed in April, after that date, so it is not in those figures. Open, citing TechCrunch, puts the post-round valuation at about $350 million, up from about $180 million roughly six months earlier. Total funding is $112 million.
Another Indian company whose own filings carry the story is Burma Burma, covered in our look at its draft prospectus. The first filing that includes Series D money will be the FY27 accounts. Whether the interest line is still larger than the jobs line by then is the figure to check.
