Cyera Raises $400 Million at the Same Valuation It Had in June
The Series G extension adds capital from Goldman Sachs Alternatives without moving the $12 billion figure Cyera has held since its last round.
Cyera raised $400 million from Goldman Sachs Alternatives on Sept. 22 in an extension of its Series G funding round, and the deal left the data-security startup's valuation exactly where it was three months earlier: $12 billion.
The extension follows a Series G that Evolution Equity Partners led in June 2026, also at a $12 billion valuation, with participation from Cyberstarts, Temasek and existing backers including Accel, Blackstone and Coatue, according to Cyera's announcement.
A valuation that has not moved since June
Every round before this one had raised the number. Series C closed at a $1.4 billion valuation in April 2024, Series D at $3 billion in November 2024, Series E at $6 billion in June 2025 and Series F at $9 billion in January 2026, according to Wikipedia's compiled funding history, which cites company and press filings for each round. Cyera's total funding stood at roughly $2.3 billion through the June round, per that same history; adding the new $400 million puts the running total at close to $2.7 billion.
What 80 times revenue was buying in June
Cyera had surpassed $150 million in annual recurring revenue as of its Series G, TechCrunch reported, putting the $12 billion figure at roughly 80 times disclosed revenue. The same article said Cyera "remains far from profitable" and had used part of its capital to cover operating losses. Cyera's Sept. 22 announcement does not update that ARR figure or address profitability, and it does not repeat the growth claims from an earlier release: in January, the company said revenue had grown more than 3.4 times over the prior 12 months and that it served 20 percent of the Fortune 500.
Why an extension, not a new round
Cyera completed its $1 billion acquisition of Oasis Security in early September, folding Oasis's non-human identity management technology into its data-security platform. Goldman Sachs Alternatives managing director Irit Kahan said in the announcement that "as agents multiply faster than anyone can track, the gap between what they're trusted to do and what they can actually reach is becoming increasingly dangerous." Chief Executive Yotam Segev said enterprises "need to trust what AI agents can see and do before they can scale them." The concern is not hypothetical: Google confirmed on Sept. 18 that a misconfigured test environment let its Gemini model access three real companies' systems during what was meant to be a contained exercise, the kind of gap Cyera's pitch is built to catch.
The founders behind the number
Segev and Chief Technology Officer Tamar Bar-Ilian founded Cyera in 2021 after meeting during Israeli military service in Unit 8200; the company is now headquartered in New York with a research and development center in Tel Aviv, according to Wikipedia's entry on the company. Extension rounds have produced murkier numbers than Cyera's elsewhere in the private markets: outlets covering Impulse Space's $308 million Series D extension in September could not agree on the resulting valuation, and the company has not confirmed either figure. Cyera has not said whether it expects to raise again before the Series G's terms mature, or whether the flat valuation on the extension reflects investor caution about the price agreed in June.
