Wonderful Raises $550 Million, More Than Doubling Its Valuation to $5 Billion
Salesforce joined the enterprise AI startup's Series C as a first-time investor, six months after the company was last priced at $2 billion.
Wonderful, the Israeli-Dutch enterprise AI startup, raised $550 million in a Series C round at a $5 billion post-money valuation, the company said Sept. 2.
Insight Partners led the round. Salesforce invested in Wonderful for the first time, joining existing backers Index Ventures, IVP, Vine Ventures, 9Yards and Bessemer Venture Partners, according to TechCrunch's reporting on the deal.
From $2 billion to $5 billion in six months
Wonderful was valued at $2 billion when it last raised money in March 2026. The new $5 billion figure is 2.5 times that mark, reached in under six months. Founded in early 2025, the company has now raised money at three different prices inside 18 months of operating.
What the round is for
Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Roey Lalazar said in the announcement that customers "can adopt whichever parts of the platform make the most sense, integrate them with existing systems, choose the best models for each workload, and retain ownership of everything they build." Wonderful's own post says the money will go toward product development and expanding its forward-deployed engineer teams, the staff it sends to build workflows directly inside customer companies. Wonderful says it now operates in more than 35 countries, up from a smaller footprint at the time of its March round, though neither the company's post nor TechCrunch's reporting puts a number on how many countries that was.
The comparison the round invites
Salesforce's decision to write a check into a company selling an "AI operating system" for the enterprise reads as a hedge as much as a bet: the same functions Wonderful sells, agent orchestration, model routing and workflow automation, sit inside Salesforce's own Agentforce product line. Neither company's statement addresses that overlap, and Wonderful's post does not name a customer count or a revenue figure alongside the $5 billion price. Wonderful was founded in early 2025 by a team of Israeli and Dutch engineers, and the round is its third priced financing in the company's roughly 18 months of operation, following a seed round and the March Series B that set the $2 billion mark.
Two rounds, two different multiples
Wonderful's valuation nearly tripled between its Series B and this round. The table below lines up what is known about each.
| Round | Date | Valuation | Lead investor |
|---|---|---|---|
| Series B | March 2026 | $2 billion | Not disclosed in available reporting |
| Series C | Sept. 2, 2026 | $5 billion | Insight Partners |
The pattern echoes two other enterprise-software raises The Terminal covered this week, Lightfield's Series A for an AI-agent CRM and Graph AI's round for automated drug-safety reporting, both priced by investors betting that a narrow AI product becomes the layer a whole workflow runs through. In each case, the round size and the valuation are public; the usage numbers that would justify either are not. Whether Wonderful's $5 billion number holds depends on what its next disclosure, financial or otherwise, actually shows, and on whether Salesforce's own agent products end up competing with the startup it just funded.
