Valon's $2.3 Billion Valuation Is About 11 Times Contracted ARR, and Its Biggest Customer Is Also an Investor
The mortgage-servicing software company raised $150 million on October 5, but its $200 million figure counts contracts, not live revenue.

Valon Technologies announced a $150 million Series D at a $2.3 billion valuation on October 5, double its previous mark. Divided by the company's "more than $200 million" in contracted annual recurring revenue, that is about 11.5 times, or somewhat less, a ratio calculated by Tech Funding News. It is a multiple on signed contracts, and the reports do not say whether the valuation is pre-money or post-money.
The round is announced. FinTech Global and Tech Funding News both say Ribbit Capital joined as a new investor and that existing backers including Andreessen Horowitz returned, and neither names a lead.
What contracted means here
Valon says it signed more than $200 million of contracted ARR within six months of opening ValonOS, its mortgage-servicing platform, to outside customers. It also says one in six outstanding US mortgages is now under contract to run on it. Both are company claims, and neither report offers independent confirmation.
Tech Funding News adds the detail that matters for the multiple: Newrez, the servicing arm of Rithm Capital, is not live yet, and its migration is expected in 2027. Live customers named are ServiceMac, the fourth-largest residential subservicer, and Carrington Mortgage Services.
| Customer | Status | Source |
|---|---|---|
| ServiceMac | Live | Tech Funding News |
| Carrington Mortgage Services | Live; bought Valon's servicing business in August | FinTech Global |
| Newrez (Rithm Capital) | Migration expected 2027 | Tech Funding News |
An investor that is also the customer
Rithm is described by Tech Funding News as both an investor and a customer. That does not make the contract artificial, but a reader pricing the round should treat the largest pending migration as related-party revenue until the terms are public. Carrington is also a direct counterparty, since it acquired Valon's own servicing business in August and adopted ValonOS as its core platform.
This structure is the company's pitch. Micky Malka, founder of Ribbit Capital, said "you have to service the loans yourself and prove the system holds up at real scale," pointing to Valon having run its own national servicing business before selling the software.
The funding history
Valon raised a $100 million Series C led by WestCap in October 2024, which brought total funding to $230 million at the time, per Tech Funding News. The outlet estimates the total now exceeds $440 million, based on a Carrington release citing more than $290 million before this round. That is an estimate, not a company figure. Founded in 2019, Valon was started by Chief Executive Andrew Wang, President Linda Du, Eric Chiang and Jonathan Hsu.
The proceeds go to product development and hiring in engineering, product, deployment and go-to-market in New York, San Francisco and remotely, FinTech Global reports. Du said the company plans to expand into commercial, personal, auto and student lending, and that "the bottleneck for deploying AI agents into regulated industries is context, not intelligence."

What would confirm it
For comparison, Instinct's $1 billion raise at $10 billion and the Q3 venture funding tally show how far multiples have stretched this quarter. The checks here are a Form D naming the lead, Newrez going live in 2027, and any public statement that splits Valon's $200 million between live and not-yet-live contracts.
