RapidCanvas Raises $29 Million Series B Led by Vertex, Claims 8x ARR in Six Quarters
The round takes total funding to $52.5 million; the company gave no revenue figure and no valuation.
RapidCanvas, the enterprise AI startup founded in 2021, announced a $29 million Series B on October 16, 2026, led by Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia & India, and said its annual recurring revenue (ARR) has grown 8x over the past six quarters. It gave no absolute revenue figure and no valuation, so the growth claim has no base to be checked against.
Entrackr and Inc42 both report the round. Hitachi Ventures is a new investor. Accel, Peak XV Partners, Valley Capital Partners and Titanium Ventures, all existing, also took part. Inc42 puts the round at about ₹280 crore.
The round, in the sequence Entrackr reports
Entrackr counts $52.5 million raised to date. A RapidCanvas newsroom post dated December 12, 2024 confirms the $16 million that came before. Entrackr says that round was led by Peak XV Partners and took total funding to $23.5 million, which squares with the $52.5 million after adding $29 million.
| Round | Date | Amount | Lead |
|---|---|---|---|
| Series A | December 2024 | $16 million | Peak XV Partners |
| Series B | October 16, 2026 | $29 million | Vertex Ventures SEA & India |
- Series A (December 2024)16 $ million
- Series B (October 2026)29 $ million

The round was announced; the reports do not say whether it has fully closed or been funded in tranches. The lead changed. Peak XV led the Series A and took part in the Series B without leading it, per Entrackr's list of participants.
What 8x in six quarters implies
An 8x rise over six quarters is a compound rate of about 41% a quarter, the author's arithmetic from the company's claim. That is a fast pace, and it says nothing about size. Without an ARR figure, the claim fits a company that went from $1 million to $8 million as easily as one that went from $10 million to $80 million. Inc42 and Entrackr both repeat the claim as the company's own, and neither reports a number.
The company also claims that more than 40% of customers run multiple AI use cases in production, according to Entrackr. In 2026, over 75 enterprises made 1.4 million AI-led decisions on applications built on the platform, both outlets say. Spread across 75 customers, that is at most about 18,700 decisions each, and the company does not define what counts as a decision.
What it sells and to whom
Entrackr describes a platform that pairs AI agents with human expertise. It has three products: the Enterprise Context Engine, the Visual Development Canvas and the Operational Harness. The target customer is a company with $100 million to $10 billion in annual revenue that has an AI budget but lacks the staff to build custom applications. Field engineers work alongside customers and oversee outcomes after deployment, which makes this closer to a services-assisted model than a pure software subscription, though Inc42 calls it subscription-based.
Inc42 lists PayPal, TresVista, Yale Appliances, Orion and Treetech among customers the company calls users of the platform. The co-founders, Rahul Pangam and Uttam Phalnikar, previously built Simility, the risk-management company PayPal acquired, per Entrackr. Inc42 identifies Pangam as co-founder and CEO and quotes him: "Our growth over the past six quarters is evidence that AI in enterprises is moving beyond pilots into production and real operations."
Where the money goes
Both outlets say the proceeds will expand go-to-market teams and the field AI engineering team across India, the US and Brazil. Inc42 adds deeper work on the Context Engine, a larger skills library for the Canvas and tighter governance in the Harness.
Accel, an existing RapidCanvas investor, also backed Origin's $20 million round for drywall robots, another company that pairs software with on-site deployment. For a structure at the other end of the scale, see Stryker's $400 million commitment to CMR Surgical.
The next observable test is the company's next announced customer count or revenue disclosure. Until one of those includes a rupee or dollar figure for ARR, the 8x remains a rate without a base.
