Flow Engineering Raises $50 Million at $750 Million With Revenue Undisclosed
The hardware-design agent startup named Rivian, Anduril and GM's PPU as customers; its one growth figure counts seats at Rivian.

Flow Engineering, a San Francisco company selling AI agents that check hardware design changes, announced a $50 million Series B on October 1 at a $750 million post-money valuation. The company has not said how much revenue sits behind that number, and the only growth figure it published counts users at one customer, not dollars.
FinSMEs lists Antonio Gracias, founder of Valor Equity Partners, and Gavin Baker, managing partner of Atreides Management, as co-leads. Sequoia Capital, which led the Series A, returned, according to Flow's release, alongside Roelof Botha personally, Human Capital, Evantic, SV Angel, Odyssey and EQT. Individuals include Thomas Wolf of Hugging Face, Jonas von Malottki, chief information officer of Mercedes-Benz, and the Formula 1 champion Nico Rosberg.
What $50 million at $750 million means
The round sells 6.7 percent of the company at the announced valuation, which is $50 million divided by $750 million. Neither document gives the Series A amount, so the step-up from the last round cannot be computed from what was published, and neither describes tranching or a liquidation preference.
The release gives no revenue, no annual recurring revenue and no gross margin. Without them, the valuation is a bet on the customer list. Armadin, which raised $255.5 million at a valuation above $2.5 billion the same day with no revenue disclosed either, is the nearest comparison in shape, and Snorkel AI shows what a disclosed run rate looks like by contrast.
The customer list is the evidence
Flow's release names the customers it added since the Series A: General Motors PPU, RV Tech (the Rivian and Volkswagen joint venture), Anduril, Stoke Space and Pacific Fusion. Existing customers named are Rivian, Joby Aviation, Astranis and Radiant Industries.

The single metric: Rivian's use of Flow grew from 40 to 1,500 users in seven months, with millions of weekly API calls, according to the release. That is a company-supplied figure and it counts seats. A seat at a carmaker with a large engineering organisation says little about what Rivian pays.

What the product does
Per Flow's founder memo, the platform has agents that monitor CAD, Git, simulations and documentation to run impact analysis, flag conflicts and detect requirement failures. Pari Singh, founder and chief executive, writes that engineers spend about 90 percent of execution work on what he calls digital manual labour in CAD, Excel and simulation, and that development cycles are compressing from months to days. Both are Flow's own claims; no independent measurement is cited.

Flow says the money goes to review, branching and evaluation features and to hiring in AI and systems engineering. The figure that would test the valuation is a disclosed revenue number, and none has been promised.
