Fal Announced Series F Without a Number; Bloomberg Supplied $16 Billion
The inference startup's own post names Bessemer and Nvidia but gives no amount or valuation, so the headline figures rest on Bloomberg's reporting as relayed by TechCrunch.

Fal's $1.3 billion Series F at a $16 billion valuation, led by Bessemer Venture Partners, is reported by TechCrunch on Nov. 3, and TechCrunch attributes the valuation to Bloomberg. Fal's own announcement, posted the same day, contains neither number.
The company's post, titled "The work and the people behind the build" and signed "Team fal", says the Series E was led by Sequoia Capital and the Series F by Bessemer, with Nvidia as a strategic investor. It gives no amount for either round, no valuation and no revenue. It says the money funds work in 2027. Announced is the accurate word: the amounts below are secondhand.

What TechCrunch and Bloomberg put on the round
TechCrunch reports that Fal, a San Francisco company founded in 2021 that hosts and runs AI video, image and audio models, raised $1.3 billion in the Series F. Fal announced the Series E and Series F together, and TechCrunch puts the two at $1.65 billion combined. By subtraction that leaves about $350 million for the Series E, a figure neither source states.
The valuation is $16 billion, double the $8 billion Bloomberg reported in April, according to TechCrunch. It did not say whether $16 billion is pre-money or post-money, and the label changes the arithmetic.
| Round | Lead | Amount | Where the number comes from |
|---|---|---|---|
| Series E | Sequoia Capital | about $350 million (derived) | TechCrunch totals, minus the Series F |
| Series F | Bessemer Venture Partners | $1.3 billion | TechCrunch |
| Valuation | n/a | $16 billion | Bloomberg, via TechCrunch |
TechCrunch lists Nvidia, Sound Ventures and T. Rowe Price as participants in the Series F. Fal's post names Nvidia only.
What $16 billion implies against revenue
TechCrunch, again citing Bloomberg, says Fal passed $800 million in annualized revenue in 2026. Annualized means a recent month or quarter multiplied out, not recognised revenue. At $16 billion that is 20 times annualized revenue.
If the valuation is post-money, a $1.3 billion Series F sold 8.1 percent of the company. If it is pre-money, the stake was smaller, at about 7.5 percent. Neither figure can be confirmed until a filing shows the share price.

The site has tracked how much of the venture money went to a few inference and model companies, as in October's $5.9 billion venture total, and Sequoia's name recurs in Trajectory's Series A too.
Who Fal competes with, and what is unsaid
TechCrunch names Baseten, Fireworks AI and Modal as fast-growing rivals also raising at higher valuations, and wrote that their gross margins are thin because compute is expensive to buy or lease. Fal's post does not give its own gross margin, and TechCrunch did not report one. Its founders, per TechCrunch, are Burkay Gur, a former Coinbase machine learning leader and Oracle engineer, and Gorkem Yurtseven, formerly a developer at Amazon.
Fal's post describes customers only by type: entertainment studios, advertising agencies, e-commerce brands, game developers and marketing teams. No customer is named and no count is given.
The next checkable event is a Delaware or SEC filing that records the Series F price per share. That would settle the pre-money question and show how much of the $1.3 billion went to the company rather than to sellers.
