Evvy Raises $40 Million Series B to Chase Fertility Data
Catalio Capital led the round as CEO Priyanka Jain said women's health still struggles to attract growth investors who understand the category.
Catalio Capital Management led a $40 million Series B for Evvy, the vaginal-health startup, the company said Sept. 15, 2026. LabCorp Venture Fund, General Catalyst and Left Lane Capital, all previous backers, returned alongside new participants Rethink Impact, Muse Capital, Alumni Ventures and the U.S. Fertility Innovation Fund, according to Tech Funding News.
Evvy, whose legal name is Allora Health Inc., sells an at-home test that mails a vaginal swab to its lab for metagenomic sequencing, a method that reads the genetic material of every microbe in a sample rather than culturing a handful of species. A licensed clinician reviews the result before it reaches the patient's portal, and the company charges $159 a test, with a discount for quarterly subscriptions, SiliconANGLE reported.
The dataset has produced 15 published studies
Founded in 2021 by Chief Executive Priyanka Jain, Laine Bruzek and Pita Navarro, Evvy has tested more than 100,000 patients and works with 3,000 practitioners. That dataset has been cited in 15 peer-reviewed publications and abstracts, Jain told TechCrunch, and the company says it has identified six new bacterial vaginosis subtypes.

"You can't build precision medicine for women on datasets that never adequately measured female biology in the first place," Jain said.
Fertility is next, starting with a US Fertility partnership
The new money funds a shift toward fertility. Evvy is running a study with US Fertility clinics to find infection and inflammation markers that predict whether an embryo implants, with findings expected later in 2026, SiliconANGLE reported. The company says its results carry a diagnostic accuracy above 90% and cut repeat infections by half, according to clinicians using the platform, a figure Evvy supplied that neither outlet verified independently.
Jain says the fundraise felt like 2020 again
Closing the round took longer than the last one. Jain told Fortune that growth investors unfamiliar with the women's health category, plus pressure to pick a "lane" between consumer brand and biotech platform, made this raise harder than expected. "I felt almost like I was back in 2020," she said.
That is a pointed comparison Highstock's founders did not have to make when they closed a $30 million Series A in an established e-commerce category, or that Euclyd avoided by raising in semiconductors, a sector already stocked with strategic investors like Samsung. Evvy's round was oversubscribed regardless, Fortune reported, though the company has not said by how much.
What Evvy has not said
Neither Evvy nor Catalio disclosed a valuation for the round, and Evvy has not published pricing for EvvyAI, the assistant it launched earlier in 2026, or said how much of its prior funding remains unspent. The next test of the fertility strategy is the US Fertility data, due before the end of 2026.
