Eggoz Grew 39% to Rs 180 Crore in FY26, and Its Loss Widened to Rs 42 Crore
RoC filings show advertising spend nearly tripled after a $20 million Series C. The year before, the company told Inc42 it expected a smaller loss and had reached EBITDA breakeven in one quarter.

Eggoz, the Gurugram branded-egg company run by Nupa Technologies, reported operating revenue of Rs 180 crore for the year ended March 2026, up 39% from Rs 130 crore, while its net loss widened 83% to Rs 42 crore from Rs 23 crore, according to Entrackr's reading of its Registrar of Companies filings. The growth rate roughly halved against the 78% of FY25.

Where the extra Rs 74 crore went
Total expenditure rose about 48% to Rs 228 crore from Rs 154 crore, so costs grew faster than the 39% revenue gain. Entrackr's breakdown, from the filings, is below.
- Raw material142 Rs crore
- Employee benefits30.8 Rs crore
- Advertising and promotion30 Rs crore
- Transport7.8 Rs crore

Advertising and promotion rose about 2.9 times to Rs 30 crore from Rs 10.5 crore, the fastest-growing line. Employee costs rose 50% to Rs 30.8 crore from Rs 20.5 crore. Raw material procurement rose 38% to Rs 142 crore and is more than 62% of spending.
EBITDA was a loss of Rs 44 crore, a margin of -24.44%. The company spent Rs 1.27 for every rupee of operating revenue.
What the company said a year earlier
When the company raised its Series C, Inc42 reported on June 30, 2025 that the round was $20 million, about Rs 171 crore, led by Gaja Capital. Gaja was putting Rs 100 crore into a Rs 125 crore tranche, and the filing covered a mix of securities. Inc42 wrote that the company expected an FY25 net loss of Rs 18 to 19 crore and said it reached EBITDA breakeven in the fourth quarter of FY25.
The filed FY25 loss, per Entrackr, was Rs 23 crore. That is Rs 4 to 5 crore above the expectation reported in June 2025, and Entrackr gives FY25 growth as 78% against the 76% Inc42 reported.
The two accounts are not strictly comparable. A single quarter at breakeven does not contradict a full-year loss, and the FY26 EBITDA loss of Rs 44 crore is a full-year figure. The filings do not show whether any FY26 quarter was near breakeven. What they show is that the year after the round was spent mostly on marketing and people.
How long Rs 33 crore lasts
Cash and bank balances at March 2026 were Rs 33 crore, with total current assets of Rs 45 crore. Against a net loss of Rs 42 crore, that is about nine and a half months of runway if the loss rate held, treating net loss as a rough proxy for cash burn, which it is not exactly. Entrackr puts total funding at more than $32 million, including a $8.8 million Series B led by IvyCap Ventures in December 2022.
The round was part primary and part secondary, per Inc42, so not every rupee of it reached the balance sheet. Neither source discloses valuation.
